1st AeroS Conference: Building an innovative business ecosystem to compete in the Aeronautical sector

On September 18th, the first AeroS conference will take place at the Can Calderon Auditorium (Viladecans), focused on building an innovative business ecosystem to compete in the Aeronautical sector, a highly demanding market. The event will bring together leading experts and leaders in the sector.

The opening speech will be given by Carles Ruiz, Mayor of Viladecans, Santiago Ballesté, President of AeroS, and Jaume Baró, Secretary of Business and Competitiveness of the Department of Business and Employment of the Generalitat of Catalonia.

The conference will be opened by Joan Martorell, Vice President of AeroS and Executive President of GUTMAR, who will offer an introduction to the conference with a presentation entitled "Building an aeronautical ecosystem".

Roser Roca Toha, Managing Director & CEO, Airbus DS GEO Spain, will then speak with a presentation entitled “Defense and AeroSpace Supply Chain: current challenges and lessons learned”. Carlos Alvarez Quiroga, Satellite Navigation Program Director of INDRA, will also participate, and will talk about the adaptation of metal and automotive companies to the aeronautical sector, sharing key challenges and lessons learned.

Afterwards, Miguel Ortiz Pajares, from the Department of Multilateral and Dual Technological Programs of the Directorate of Innovation Policies of the CDTI, together with Pere Condom, Director of the Strategic Analysis Area of ​​the General Directorate of Industry of the Generalitat of Catalonia and Josep Colomé, Director of the Area of ​​Promotion of the Space Sector of Catalonia (APEC) - Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC) will discuss collaboration strategies and avenues for financing, with a focus on alliances between SMEs and the driving agents of the aeronautical sector with the moderation of Antoni Paz, Technical Secretary of AeroS and Executive Director of KIM Barcelona. The question and answer session will be led by Neus Olea, Secretary and Director of AeroS and Deputy General Manager of AEBALL / UPMBALL.
