Lleida–Alguaire Airport has conducted its first
flight tests using electricity generated by the mobile Nomad system, developed by
Methanol Reformer SL. This device
converts renewable methanol into hydrogen or electricity, without needing a grid connection. The event was attended by Santiago Ballesté, president of AeroS Ecosystem.
The test featured Catalonia’s only electric aircraft, operated by the Aeroclub de Barcelona – Sabadell, and included hydrogen car charging tests by Evarm. This initiative aligns with the airport’s commitment to sustainability and decarbonization, promoting Lleida–Alguaire as a hub for innovative mobile energy solutions.
