Dual-Use Potential in Technologies: European Commission White Paper

The European Commission has published a White Paper exploring ways to enhance support for research and development (R&D) in dual-use technologies, meaning those applicable in both civilian and military domains. This document aims to launch a public consultation on how the European Union can better support such technologies, assessing whether current funding programs are sufficient in the face of emerging geopolitical challenges. It also proposes future options to foster innovation and strengthen the EU’s economic security and strategic autonomy.
